WebDurham Community Foundation is proud to have partnered with Community Foundations of Canada and the Government of Canada to deliver $1,788,385 through the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) in the Region of Durham and an additional $149,623 in the municipality of Northumberland County. WebSSPs are trained professionals who guide and provide visual/environmental information to a person who is DeafBlind. They also can provide transportation services for the DeafBlind individual to arrive to their appointment. The SSP works with a qualified, licensed interpreter to provide effective communication.
